::About me:: ::Note to self:: Things that i try to remind myself of...
| Rude real G-Damm rude Monday. 2.26.07 8:44 pm Ok this just came in and i really have to rant it off. Cleaning lady came in. Asked if her daughter called regarding school work cos apparantly from what i heard, she needed help with regards to IT related stuff. Well since i am the IT trainer here i gave her the ok sign, Thing is, her daughter never did call. Cleaning lady insisted that she did but she really did not. What was i to do? lie and say oh yar she called and forget the whole thing? ok at this point i'm a bit annoyed.. surely if a girl whom i dont know called me, i would have remembered. So to "prove" that she did call Cleaning lady call up her daughter on the spot, that in itself puts everybody in the spot. Obviously her daughter must have lied to get her mother off her back and i am the victim of this whole shit. Here comes the best part. Her daughter answered the call and they had a short argument of whether or not she called me. Cleaning lady pass me the phone... me:"Hello?" Daughter of cleaning lady:"You know account ah?!" me:"Hey look here, it is not like i'm the one whose pestering you to ask me questions, i'm just trying to help" i hand the phone back to the cleaning lady, its very awkward. i had wanted to scold her for not saying hello not doing the proper greetings and also to scold her for lying to her mom and not even wanting to clarify matter when already an outsider is involved! But i refrain from doing so to save her mother's already half lost face. Either the education system of this country is really flawed or we simply did not learn the manners that were taught in school. 2 Comments. That problem don't only happen in Singapore.. though it's much worst in Malaysia. Kids lie to get off the hook and the adults don't trust the adults. Better still.. the parents always thinks that their children won't lie to them. » Nuttz on 2007-02-26 10:19:33 The part where the children wouldnt lie to them is so true.. happens in so many household. I guess all parents would want to give their kids the benefit of doubt but i feel that they shouldnt let them get away with it no matter how much they dote their kids... i mean wont they turn worse when they grow up? -_-;; » Gargon on 2007-02-27 02:15:32
